Applications
- Typically used in new home construction to provide an opening in brick, stone or siding for a fresh air intake or exhaust hood. It enables the hood to be installed after the wall surface has been completed.

- Reduces the possibility of the hoods from being damaged
- With the sleeve installed reduces the time required to make a hole in the brick or stone
- After the hood has been installed on the outside of the home the thimble can be filled with insulation to maintain the desired R value
- Thimble is required for Energy Star rated homes
